We are Desert Highlands Youth Football and Cheer, a North Valley based non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of organized football and cheer to the children of the North Valley. Our organization includes the following areas: Anthem, Desert Hills, New River and Tramonto. We provide opportunities for children ages 6-14 to participate in organized football and cheer. Our organization is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom have children in our football and cheer programs. Our teams are known as the Wolfpack.

DHYFA exists to

  • provide interested youths the opportunity to participate in a supervised, organized and safety-oriented program of tackle football and cheer
  • bring area youth together by means of a common interest in sportsmanship, fair play and fellowship; and
  • teach all participants the fundamentals of the game and keep the welfare of the children free of any selfish adult ambition.

DHYFA is a charter member of the Central Arizona Youth Football and Cheer League Inc., CAYFL, which has jurisdiction within the boundaries of Maricopa County, Arizona. CAYFL, whose website is www.cayfl.net, plays under American Youth Football (AYF) national guidelines.

The 14 CAYFL chapters are:

South East Valley, Cave Creek/Carefree, Chandler, South Mountain, Gilbert, West Valley, Desert Highlands, Gila River, Pinal Mountain, Scottsdale, Desert West, Paradise Valley, Laveen and Buckeye.

Our home games will be conducted at Boulder Creek High School, 40404 N. Gavilan Peak Way in Anthem. Our practices will be conducted at the Anthem Community Center practice fields for the majority of the season.

In 2008 our goal is to provide all parents, players, coaches, and staff with as much information as possible. The Board of Directors has put in many hours to make this possible for you. Please read all rules and regulations and refer to these regularly to answer any questions you may have. Welcome to the 2008 Desert Highlands Wolfpack!
